Water matters more than the chemistry brand

Hard water binds active ingredients. The same foam that worked perfectly at a site in a neighboring city may give you weak results and streaks at your own — with the same consumption and the same price.

That's why selection always starts with a water analysis, not with picking a supplier. Hardness and iron content differ even within the same region: a borehole and municipal water supply give completely different readings.

Most often the problem isn't the product but the settings. Dosers drift over time, filters clog, water changes with the season — and the formula stays the same.

Savings that end up costing more

Cutting concentrate consumption is the fastest way to drop wash quality. The temptation is understandable: the savings show up immediately, the consequences a month later.

The customer doesn't know about the dosers. They just see the car is still dirty and don't come back. The difference in chemistry cost per wash is a matter of rubles. The cost of a lost repeat customer is thousands per year.

Winter: a separate story

In Barnaul, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, and Surgut, chemistry behaves differently in winter. Cold water slows the reaction, and dirt mixed with reagents clings to the body more stubbornly.

Two consequences follow: you need water heating and, possibly, a different concentration or formula for the winter period. A wash that works great in summer will start collecting negative reviews in winter without adjustments.

What to check regularly

  • Output concentration — the actual value, not just the doser setting
  • Filter condition — a clogged filter changes the whole picture
  • Water hardness by season — it isn't constant
  • Water temperature — especially at the inlet in winter
  • Customer feedback — customers notice changes before instruments do

It's routine work, but it's exactly what keeps repeat visits coming. A regular check takes minutes; rebuilding a site's reputation takes months.
